The 110 383-7 electric locomotive is a real piece of German railroad history - and is still on the rails in the current Centralbahn AG version. With the Piko 21828, you can get a model of this classic DB class 110 with a powerful sound and true to detail on your H0 layout. The locomotive was built back in 1965 and was in scheduled service on the German Federal Railroad and its successor companies for decades.
Since 2016, it has been in active service with Centralbahn, a private railroad company that specializes in the use of historic vehicles and special services. This model exactly reproduces the current condition of the locomotive and brings an authentic operating atmosphere to your model railway layout - especially in combination with special or museum trains.
The model is operated in the direct current system (2L-DC) and is equipped ex works with a digital decoder and a high-quality sound function. Thanks to the integrated PluX22 interface and the factory-activated functions, the locomotive can be used digitally straight away and provides realistic sound experiences - including typical locomotive noises and sound effects.
The Piko 21828 impresses with its finely detailed design, which is closely based on the current condition of the locomotive on the Centralbahn. Integrated LED interior lighting and the prototypical light change from red to white ensure an atmospheric representation in model railroad operation. The lighting is energy-saving and shows the model to its best advantage even when running at night or in a staging yard.
With a length over buffers of 189 mm, the locomotive is suitable for all standard H0 track systems and can easily negotiate tight radii from 358 mm. Thanks to the coupling system with NEM shaft and close coupler kinematics, the locomotive can be flexibly integrated into various train compositions - whether for authentic special trains, museum trains or as part of a modern charter operation on your layout.
