The 110 383-7 electric locomotive is an impressive example of the successful preservation of historic railroad vehicles in active operation. Since its commissioning in 1965, it has been in service with the German Federal Railroad and later DB companies for many decades. Today it runs under the flag of Centralbahn AG - a private rail transport company specializing in the operation of special and charter trains as well as the preservation of historic vehicles.
With the Piko 21829 model, model railroaders receive an H0-compatible replica of this classic that represents the current condition on the Centralbahn. Equipped with digital technology and a high-quality sound function for 3-wire AC operation, this locomotive offers an all-round convincing overall package for demanding model railroaders and collectors.
The Piko 21829 is designed for 3L AC operation and is factory-equipped with a digital decoder including sound. This means that it is immediately ready for operation on all Märklin-compatible layouts. The soundscape includes realistic locomotive sounds that take the driving experience to a new level - especially in combination with a digitally controlled layout. Additional functions can also be used flexibly via the PluX22 interface.
The model is based exactly on the current appearance of the locomotive on the Centralbahn. The high-quality workmanship, sharp printing and harmonious color scheme authentically bring the charm of the historic electric locomotive to the layout. Integrated LED interior lighting and a red/white light change effectively round off the appearance - ideal for realistic operational representations by day and night.
With a clearance of 189 mm, the locomotive is ideal for use on all standard H0 track systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The NEM coupling system with close coupling kinematics ensures smooth integration into existing train sets - whether in museum or special train operation.
The Centralbahn has been using locomotive 110 383-7 for a variety of passenger and freight services since 2016. The model depicts exactly this condition - allowing realistic replicas of current operational scenarios on the model railway layout. Whether as a train locomotive for exclusive charter trips or in a nostalgic museum train - the possible uses are many and varied.
The scope of delivery includes the digitized electric locomotive with sound function, operating instructions and accessories for individual detailing.
The Piko 21829 is aimed at experienced model railroaders with an AC system who prefer realistic train compositions and digital operating scenarios. Collectors of historical vehicles with a current operational reference will also get their money's worth with this model.
