PIKO 22011 - H0 Diesel locomotive shunting tractor Rh 600 DSB, Era III with sound

With the Piko 22011, PIKO brings the powerful-sounding version of the compact Rh 600 shunting tractor of the Danish state railroads DSB to your H0 layout. This Era III version is factory-equipped with a PIKO XP sound decoder and combines a historic look with modern digital technology - perfect for realistic station and factory scenes from the 1950s and 1960s.

The model series is based on the proven three-axle locomotives that were also used in a similar form by the NS. In Denmark, the DSB took over comparable machines for internal shunting - especially in large marshalling yards, for transfer runs or in the industrial sector. This PIKO model impresses with its authentic character and prototypical construction.

Sound ex works - fully equipped digitally

The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder and matching loudspeaker. The PIKO XP Sound provides realistic sounds such as diesel start, traction motor, shunting functions, brakes and horn - ready for immediate use on digital DC systems.

Digital light functions

A white/red light change depending on the direction of travel and digitally switchable driver's cab lighting are part of the equipment. The modern LED technology ensures long-lasting, even illumination - a real eye-catcher even when running at night or in depot operation.

Model quality & detailing

The locomotive impresses with its finely finished spoked wheels, attached battery and sand boxes, air tanks, spring assemblies and free-standing grab irons and lines. Further highlights are the water level indicator, tank filler neck, whistle and sign holder. Suitable accessories are included for presentation in the display case.

Technology & usability

The locomotive measures 104 mm over buffers and is ideal for smaller layouts, industrial connections or as a shunting locomotive in the depot. The minimum radius is 358 mm.Two traction tires guarantee stable traction. The locomotive is equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link - for smooth operation in a consist.

Prototype & Use

As a typical small locomotive of the 1950s/60s, the Rh 600 was used in a variety of ways: in train formation, in freight handling or as a works locomotive. This model brings the everyday operation of the DSB in Era III to life - whether in the main station, on branch lines or in the inland port.
