With the Piko 22022 H0 diesel locomotive D.445, Piko presents a highly detailed new design of one of the most versatile Italian diesel locomotives. The D.445 series was developed for mixed operation and was used throughout Italy for freight and passenger traffic. This model not only impresses with its successful design, but also with a detailed interior and numerous filigree elements such as the moving fan wheels under finely etched grilles.

Authentic realization of the third construction series

The Piko model faithfully reproduces the characteristic features of the third series of the D.445. Particularly noteworthy is the typical green bad weather driving signal at the front, which makes it highly recognizable. The excellent paintwork and lettering based on the Italian State Railways (FS) model ensures a realistic appearance and makes the model a highlight on any H0 layout.

The locomotive is controlled via a PluX22 interface in accordance with NEM 658, making it ideal for digital operation.

The locomotive is equipped with a DC drive and is suitable for use on all H0 track systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm.
