With the Piko 22035, PIKO brings the powerful-sounding version of the proven Italian diesel locomotive D.445 of the FS (Ferrovie dello Stato) in the third series with mounted snow plows to your DC system. This Era VI version impresses with the highest level of detailing, state-of-the-art technology and an authentic implementation - including a factory-installed PIKO XP sound decoder.
The D.445 is one of the most versatile diesel locomotives in Italy. Numerous technical optimizations were used in the third series. This model version with snow plow realistically reflects the modern condition in the current everyday operation of FS - ideal for main and branch line scenarios with reference to the Alpine region or routes with increased winter use.
The model is fully digitized and equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder. The PIKO XP decoder provides typical vehicle sound functions such as engine sound, driving and braking noises, horn, compressor and fan - all precisely controllable via digital control centers.
A white/red light change depending on the direction of travel is part of the standard equipment, as is digitally switchable driver's cab lighting. All lighting functions are based on energy-saving LED technology and ensure a realistic appearance in the depot, tunnel or when running at night.
The model impresses with free-moving fan wheels under finely etched grilles, detailed interior fittings and the correct housing of the third series with snow plows on the front sides. These components are not only a visual eye-catcher, but also underline the modern usability of the locomotive in real prototype operation.
