PIKO 23604 - H0 Passenger coach n-car 2nd class, GfF, Era VI, "Maas-Wupper-Express"

With the Piko 23604, model railroaders receive an authentically designed 2nd class n-coach of the Maas-Wupper-Express, operated by the Gesellschaft für Fahrzeugtechnik (GfF), in Era VI. The H0 model on a scale of 1:87 shows the iconic local transport coach in a contemporary design - ideal for realistic train compositions in modern regional transport.

The n-cars - often known as "Silberlinge" - shaped the image of German local transport for decades. In later years, they also found new uses with private operators such as GfF. The Maas-Wupper-Express is an example of this continued use on non-electrified or regional routes.

Detailing & faithfulness to the prototype

The model impresses with its true-to-scale proportions and highly detailed bogies, which appear particularly vivid thanks to precise mold construction. The high-quality paintwork and fine printing underline the modern appearance of this n-carriage. The car color, logos and lettering correspond exactly to the model of the GfF-operated Maas-Wupper-Express.

Technology & compatibility

With a length over buffers of 303 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the wagon is ideal for use on all standard H0 layouts. The NEM shafts with close coupler link ensure reliable couplings and close wagon transitions in the train formation. The outstanding rolling characteristics enable smooth operation even in longer trains.

Interior & retrofit options

The model is not prepared for interior lighting at the factory, but can be retrofitted with suitable accessories on request. The large windows nevertheless provide a clear view of the realistically designed interior.

Additional option for AC drivers

The car is compatible with the PIKO #56060 exchange wheel sets for operation on AC systems - quick and easy to convert.

Scope of delivery

The PIKO 23604 n-coach 2nd class GfF is supplied in Era VI design, including coupling, instructions and prototypical printing - ready for operation in the DC system.
