The Piko 24552 is a historically extremely attractive railroad mail car from the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) in the livery of the Deutsche Reichspost (DRP) for Era II. This carefully designed mail coach embodies the style and functionality of the early 1930s in German railroad mail traffic - ideal for depicting authentic express trains or special mail runs of the pre-war period.
The model is equipped with a multitude of the finest details, including extra handle bars, filigree steps and accessories for showcase operation. It is therefore equally suitable for discerning model railroaders and historical collectors.
The typical green-yellow DRP color scheme is cleanly implemented and provided with the finest printing based on the historical model. The riveted body structure and the roof with indicated ventilation round off the authentic look. The detailed design brings the everyday life of Era II railroad mail to life on the model track.
With a length over buffers of 187 mm, the wagon is compatible with all H0 layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm. Thanks to the NEM shaft with close coupler link, it can be safely integrated into historical train formations. AC railroaders can easily replace the wheelsets with AC wheelsets (56060).
The Piko 24552 DRG/DRP mail coach is supplied in a DC version and contains accessories for showcase use as well as detailed instructions.
Give your layout stylish authenticity with the Piko 24552 Postal Car of the German Reichspost - prototypical, detailed and ready for operation.
