The Piko 24554 shows a former type G02 boxcar in its late use as a railroad service vehicle of the Polish State Railways (PKP) in Era IV. This model reflects the typical conversion style with which many older freight cars were given a second life in internal railroad service - for example as workshop or material cars.
The model impresses with its finely engraved wooden board structure, separately applied handles and steps as well as excellent rolling characteristics. The discreet, official lettering and the worn appearance perfectly reflect the character of such vehicles.
With its compact design and typical railroad service livery, the wagon fits seamlessly into branch line scenes, construction trains or shunting groups. It is particularly suitable for realistic operational depictions of the 1970s and early 1980s in Poland or cross-border contexts.
The wagon is 105 mm long over buffers and is suitable for track systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The model is equipped with wheel sets with bearings for particularly smooth running. AC wheel sets (item no. 56060) are optionally available.
The Piko 24554 PKP railroad service car is supplied in a DC version - fully assembled and ready for immediate use on the model railroad layout or in the display case.
Complete your operating train collection with this historic railroad service car - compact, detailed and fully operational!
