PIKO 24559 - H0 Acid tank car with brakeman's cab, ÖBB, Era III

The Piko 24559 is a finely detailed model of a historic Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) acid tank w agon from Era III. This special tank wagon for transporting hazardous chemicals such as acids impresses with its authentic design with separately applied parts, brakeman's cab and a harmonious appearance from the 1950s and 60s.

With its prototypical paintwork and precise printing, the wagon fits in perfectly with classic ÖBB freight trains. The model is equally suitable for showcase collectors and for layout operators with historical themes.

Special design for demanding transportation

The seven individually depicted pots on the wagon frame represent the characteristic acid pot design that was in use until the 1970s. Complemented by filigree ladders, grab rails, platform railings and the brakeman's cab, the result is a harmonious and functional overall appearance.

Technology & running characteristics

The car measures 112 mm over buffers and runs smoothly on all H0 layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The NEM close coupler link ensures realistic car spacing during operation. A conversion kit (item no. 56060) is available for AC users.
