With the Piko 24624, PIKO presents a detailed chemical tank wagon in Chemoil design, used by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) and set in Era VI. This model is exemplary for today's freight traffic in the area of hazardous goods transportation and brings modern logistics to your H0 layout - functional, realistic and visually convincing.
The tank wagon was specially developed for the transportation of chemical liquids and hazardous materials - both in the original and in the model. With its Chemoil lettering and typical SBB design, the wagon fits in perfectly with the international tank wagon trains used in modern rail freight transport throughout Europe.
With a length over buffers of 189 mm, the wagon is true to scale in H0 format. The neatly printed lettering, the realistic coloring and the fine reproduction of the boiler structure ensure a high-quality appearance. Thanks to the NEM shaft with close coupler link, the car is also technically ideally equipped for operation in prototypical freight trains with minimal coupling distances.
The wagon is factory-fitted with DC wheelsets and is therefore immediately ready for use on all common DC track systems. With a minimum radius of 358 mm, it is also suitable for somewhat more compact system layouts without compromising on realistic proportions.
