With the GTW 2/6 in the attractive "THURBO bwegt" design of the Swiss Federal Railways, PIKO is bringing a coveted locomotive variant in a detailed design to the H0 model railroad. The striking Stadler multiple unit impresses with its futuristic design, high degree of prototypical fidelity and first-class workmanship. Based on the modular design of the real vehicles, the model authentically reflects their form and function - ideal for modern local transport scenarios in Switzerland and beyond.
The model shines with an exact reproduction of the outer contours of the GTW 2/6 - including a specific head shape, separate windows and finely engraved details. The roof pantographs are delicately reproduced and the bogies are highly detailed. The futuristic design language of the original has been consistently transferred to the model - including matching printing in the "THURBO bwegt" design.
The model offers a standardized light change in LED technology (white/red) and is prepared for retrofitting interior lighting (e.g. with 2x PIKO #56139). A special coupling for multiple traction is included and makes it possible to combine several GTW units. The two traction tires provide sufficient traction even on inclines.
