The Piko 27512 is a real highlight of German railroad history: the steam locomotive G7.1, operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) as class 55, in the sensational photo paint scheme of Era II. This special color scheme was used for presentations and official photographs to present the locomotive in the highest quality - an absolute highlight for showcases and collectors, but also suitable for operation on the layout!
The model impresses with flawless paintwork, the finest printing and technical preparation for digital use. The locomotive is ready for the installation of a sound decoder and steam generator - ideal for realistic operating representations of the pre-war period.
This version represents the condition of the locomotive in the 1920s and 30s - including white/white top lighting, classic tender, clean rivet structure and numerous fine add-on parts. The glossy photo paint gives the model a noble appearance, as was typical for official DRG representations.
Thanks to the modern PluX22 interface (NEM 658), the model can be easily digitized. The locomotive is prepared for retrofitting with a PIKO sound decoder (item no. 56629) and an optional steam generator. Four traction tires ensure powerful running even when the train is in operation.
With a length over buffers of 193 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the locomotive can be used on all H0 layouts. Whether as a solo locomotive, in historic freight trains or as a special trip in a photo locomotive - it cuts an impressive figure everywhere.
Experience the stylish side of railroad history with the PIKO 27512 BR 55 DRG photo paint scheme - detailed, digitizable and a real eye-catcher.
