With the Piko 27518, PIKO brings a striking steam locomotive of the Hungarian state railroad MAV to a scale of 1:87 - the class 431, derived from the Prussian G7.1 or the DRG class 55. This locomotive was a familiar sight on the main and branch lines of Hungary in Era III and is now coming to the H0 tracks in a prototypical look.
The model impresses with a flawless paint scheme typical of the country, precise printing based on the MAV prototype and a large number of detailed add-on parts. Thanks to the PluX22 digital interface, the locomotive can be easily digitized and retrofitted with a sound decoder and a steam generator if required.
The 431 steam locomotive reflects the condition of Hungarian locomotives in the 1950s and 60s - including country-specific headlight arrangement and lettering. The white/white light signature corresponds to the typical MAV standard of this era.
With the NEM 658 PluX22 interface, the locomotive is ready for digital retrofitting. A PIKO sound decoder (item no. 56629) and a smoke generator can be easily integrated. The four traction tires ensure high tractive power even with heavy trains.
With a 193 mm clearance, the model is suitable for all H0 layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The locomotive runs very smoothly and reliably and is ideal for both operational and display use.
With the PIKO 27518 MAV 431 you can bring a piece of Hungarian railroad history to your layout - realistic, rich in detail and digitally upgradeable!
