The Piko SNCB low side w agon is a typical universal freight wagon of the Belgian State Railways from Era III. Such wagons were an indispensable part of the transport of building materials, vehicles or heavy goods in post-war Europe. PIKO is now bringing this model with finely detailed sides and first-class running characteristics to your H0 layout.
The model impresses with its finely detailed side panels, a stable, prototypical design and its compact length of 131 mm. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link, the car offers optimum operating safety - both in the shunting area and in regular freight train operation.
In the 1950s and 60s, the SNCB/NMBS used such wagons throughout the country for construction site logistics, rail maintenance and the transportation of small machines or aggregates. Their robust steel construction and low side walls made them versatile - a typical wagon for branch lines, freight stations and loading points.
The car is suitable for DC systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. It can be easily converted for Märklin systems using exchange wheel sets for AC (item no. 56060). With its neutral color scheme, it can be used universally in many train scenarios.
For model railroaders with a focus on Belgium or Western Europe, Era III collectors and anyone who wants to realistically recreate authentic construction site or heavy freight traffic.
Get the Piko SNCB low side wagon - novelty 2025 for detailed operating scenarios of the 1950s and 60s!
