The Piko 28009 brings the comfort of 1st and 2nd class local transport in the 1990s to your model railway layout: The Halberstadt ABy middle-entry coach in the version of Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG) stands for solid construction, well thought-out design and a detailed implementation on a scale of 1:87.

The model impresses with its true-to-original red paintwork, crystal-clear, flush-mounted windows and a finely designed interior. Complemented by precise engravings on the bogies, steps, doors and grab rails, this car is a highlight in any Era V local transport composition.

Comfort on two levels of long-distance vision

The ABy coach combines 1st and 2nd class in one vehicle and was preferably used on regional services with mixed passenger use. These coaches were often hauled by 218 or 232 diesel locomotives and could be found in many regions of Germany.

Technology & equipment

With a length over buffers of 303 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the model is suitable for most H0 layouts. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link, the car offers reliable operation. The interior lighting can be easily retrofitted with item no. 56313 - train end lighting is also possible.
