The Piko Halberstadt center entry control car with Wittenberg head in the AC version is the perfect addition for local traffic on Märklin-compatible layouts. In Era V design, this cab control car represents the typical DB AG conversion car for push-pull train operation in the 1990s and early 2000s.
The model has detailed interior fittings, finely reproduced doors and free-standing steps, grab rails and windshield wipers. The interior lighting is prepared and can be retrofitted with a suitable set. With a running length of 303 mm, the car is an ideal match for other PIKO center entrance cars.
After reunification, many Halberstadt mid-entry coaches were modernized and equipped with the characteristic Wittenberg control head. This resulted in a functional control car that, together with locomotives of the 143, 112 or 218 series, characterized local transport at DB AG - especially in eastern Germany.
This cab control car is suitable for Märklin AC systems and requires a minimum radius of 358 mm. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link, the model can be used flexibly and is ideal for realistic push-pull train scenarios on AC systems.
Ideal for Märklin railroaders, Era V fans, collectors of modernized DR vehicles and anyone who wants to authentically represent local traffic with a push-pull train system.
