The Piko set of 2 SNCF "Algeco" articulated tank wagons brings two highly detailed Era VI tank wagons to your H0 layout. These wagons are designed for the safe transportation of liquid hazardous goods and can be found in numerous international freight trains of the present day. The design with brakeman's platform, articulated tank structure and modern components corresponds to the current operating image of the French SNCF.

Technology & appearance - functional and finely detailed

The wagons have a faithful reproduction of the articulated boiler, free-standing ladders, platform and brakeman's platform as well as detailed bogies. The imprinted "Algeco" design stands for one of the numerous logistics partners in the liquid goods sector. Despite their delicate design, the models have excellent rolling characteristics.

The SNCF uses such vehicles in cooperation with private companies such as Algeco to meet the increasing demand for reliable and safe liquid goods transport - also in international traffic with SBB, DB Cargo and other partners.

Model operation & compatibility

The wagons are designed for use on H0 DC layouts and are suitable for a minimum radius of 358 mm. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler link, the cars are ideal for use in tank trains. The AC exchange wheel set , item no. 56061, is available for Märklin drivers.
