With the Piko set of 3 Fad6770 self-unloading w agons, you can bring robust freight wagons typical of everyday use on the German State Railroad in Era IV to your H0 layout. These wagons transported huge quantities of bulk goods such as coal, ore or gravel - an indispensable backbone for industrial stations and power station connections in the GDR.
The three cars have different car numbers for realistic train compositions. Equipped with brakeman's platforms, free-standing ladders and detailed engraving, they are visually and technically outstanding. The excellent rolling characteristics and close coupler mechanism with NEM shaft ensure safe operation from a minimum radius of 358 mm.
These DR self-unloading cars were intended in particular for the coal traffic of the BKK (brown coal combines). They ran in block trains, often with class 211 locomotives or diesel locomotives such as the class 120. The striking design with sloping floor and trap doors can be seen in many historical photos - a classic of freight transport in the GDR.
The model set is designed for direct current systems, but can also be converted for alternating current with AC exchange wheel sets (item no. 56060). It is ideal for heavy block trains or mixed freight trains in the DR network of the 1970s and 80s.
Perfect for DR fans, Eastern Bloc themed layouts and operation-oriented model railroaders who want to depict authentic bulk goods traffic. An ideal supplementary set for coal trains with DR locomotives.
Complete your layout with the Piko set of 3 Fad6770 DR self-unloading wagons - a piece of railroad history for your freight train collection!
