Piko 37262 G Steam Locomotive BR 91.3, DB, Ep. III - The Prussian T 9.3 as a garden railroad highlight

With the Piko BR 91.3 G steam locomotive, you can bring a real piece of German railroad history to your garden railroad. The tender locomotive originally developed as the Prussian T 9.3 was used for a variety of passenger and freight services. In 1925, the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DRG ) took over numerous examples and incorporated them as class 91.3. The robust locomotive was in service with the German Federal Railroad until 1964 - here now as a detailed model of Era III.

This locomotive shines with numerous free-standing lines, movable driver's cab details such as hinged water tank covers and doors and windows that can be opened. The lighting in the driver's cab can be switched manually. The spoked wheels with detailed linkage and a designed driver's cab with driver figure round off the appearance. Whether on the terrace or in the hobby room - this model is designed for indoor and outdoor operation.

BR 91.3 - the locomotive for branch lines and city lines

With its compact design, good all-round visibility and a top speed of 60-65 km/h, the T 9.3 was ideal for branch lines and light rail lines. It was versatile in use and was characterized by high reliability - a true all-rounder of the Bundesbahn era.

Use & compatibility

The locomotive is perfect for Era III train scenes with short passenger cars, freight trains or shunting operations. With a retrofittable PIKO sound decoder (item no. 36545), the model can be expanded digitally and with a powerful sound if desired. The minimum radius is 600 mm - ideal for spacious garden railroad layouts.
