Description

A DR cement silo car in Era IV with a gray frame. The development, design, and production of cement silo cars was pushed by both German railroad administrations DB and DR after 1945. Almost in parallel with the Ucs 908 and 909 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn, the Deutsche Reichsbahn also began to procure two-axle cement silo car types in the late 1950s. Since they proved themselves excellently as special car designs that could be used over the long term, they are still used today by private adjusters such as KVG and VTG.
