Description

This is a variant of the diesel railcar in the paint scheme of a DB AG track measuring train in Era V. Like their DB prototypes, the PIKO models of the railcar and control car embody functionally reliable designs. The railcar model is powered by a miniature motor, which is equipped with two precisely dimensioned flywheels for perfect running characteristics. The drive acts on both axles of the railcar. Since the motor car and control car can be coupled together using current-conducting close-coupling kinematics, two additional (and therefore four) axles can be used to safely pick up the current when the control car is used. The railcar has a PluX16 digital interface in accordance with NEM 658. The lighting functions of both vehicles can be switched separately. A clear view is possible through the passenger compartments of the motor car and control car. The railcar can also be used prototypically as a traction unit for hauling individual freight cars.
