Description

Novelty 2023: With the completely new design of the class 185, PIKO fulfills the wish of many model railroaders for a contemporary model of this modern locomotive series. The striking proportions of the prototype have been perfectly transferred to scale in the model. The detailed engraved bogies, individually applied sandboxes, free-standing hand grips and filigree pantographs are testimony to modern tooling and manufacturing techniques. The powerful mid-mounted motor with its two finely balanced flywheels provides excellent driving characteristics and traction performance, which is further supported by two diagonally arranged traction tires. The model comes from the factory with maintenance-free LED lighting with direction-dependent light change, as well as a modern Next 18 interface for the foolproof installation of a digital decoder, which allows even more prototypical operation on the model railroad layout.
