Novelty 2023: With the completely new design of the BR 185 / BR 482, PIKO is fulfilling the wish of many model railroaders for a contemporary model of this modern locomotive series. The striking proportions of the prototype have been perfectly transferred to the model to scale. The detailed engraved bogies, individually attached sandboxes, free-standing handles and filigree pantographs are evidence of modern tooling and production techniques. The powerful central motor with its two finely balanced flywheels ensures excellent driving characteristics and traction performance, which is further enhanced by two diagonally arranged traction tires. The model is equipped ex works with maintenance-free LED lighting with direction-dependent light change, as well as a matching PIKO sound decoder, which enables even more prototypical operation on the model railway layout.
