The printed version of the 1st/2nd class passenger car of the DB in Era IV. Among railway enthusiasts, the term "Silberling" refers to a family of local transport cars of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The vehicles earned the name "Silberlinge" due to their stainless steel car bodies. Over 5000 units were built between 1961 and 1980 and could be found with DB Regio until early 2020. Due to their subclass designation, these cars are also commonly referred to as n-Wagen. With the n-Wagen, PIKO has introduced a vehicle type into its range that is practically indispensable on any model railway themed around the Bundesbahn or DB AG. Like the prototype, the models differ in window arrangement and interior furnishings depending on the class of the car, and the scale measurements have been accurately translated into N scale. High-quality mold construction ensures extremely detailed bogies, and PIKO's usual high-quality painting and printing give the vehicles an excellent finish. The vehicles are prepared for the easy retrofitting of interior lighting.
