The PIKO 47140 TT steam locomotive BR 62 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) era III is a detailed model that brings the fascination of historical railroad technology to your model railway layout. The class 62 was developed in the 1920s by the Deutsche Reichsbahn as a passenger train tender locomotive. Only 15 units of this series were built in total, making them a rarity on German tracks. After the Second World War, eight locomotives remained with the Deutsche Reichsbahn and were in service until the 1970s. The last locomotive of this class, the 62 1007-4, retired from scheduled service in 1972.
