The Piko 50603 BR 78 steam locomotive is a modern new design of the popular Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) tank locomotive from Era III. This model is the first steam locomotive in the PIKO Expert product line and raises the standard of the range to a new level. With a factory-integrated sound decoder, steam generator and the finest details, the BR 78 is impressive in every respect.
The class 78 was a versatile tank locomotive that was originally developed for passenger services on main and branch lines.
