Piko 50708 H0 Sound Steam Locomotive BR 62, DRG, Ep. II - Powerful Steam Operation of the Unified Locomotive Era

With the Piko H0 DRG Class 62 sound steam loc omotive, you get a powerful and beautifully shaped tender locomotive on your layout - including factory-installed PIKO sound decoder and steam generator. The locomotive was created in response to the DRG's desire for a fast tender locomotive for passenger train service. It is based on the never-built BR 20 and only 15 units were built in 1928 - lovingly reproduced here in H0 scale.

State-of-the-art technology meets the finest model making

The model offers digitally switchable driver's cab lighting, running gear lighting and a realistic flickering firebox light. The PIKO TrainSound® technology provides an authentic sound experience, supported by the factory-integrated steam generator. The locomotive has a detailed boiler rear wall, fine wheel spiders and an open engine with a filigree bar frame and a clear view.

BR 62 - The DRG's high-speed locomotive

The BR 62 was a special case among the standard locomotives: fast, maneuverable and powerful - ideal for express trains and passenger trains. Only two locomotives were taken over at the beginning, the rest followed in 1932, making it a rare but fascinating Era II locomotive with character today.

The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder and can be fully controlled digitally - from the lighting technology to the realistic operating sounds. Thanks to die-cast zinc components and a flywheel mass in the motor, it also has impressive driving characteristics.
