The Piko BR 91.3 sound steam locomotive from the Deutsche Reichsbahn brings authentic steam operation from Era III to your H0 layout. After the Second World War, around 230 T 9.3 locomotives remained in the Soviet occupation zone and became part of the DR fleet. The locomotive shaped branch line traffic for decades - now as the new 2025 model with factory-installed PIKO TrainSound® decoder and full digital functionality.
The model is equipped with digitally switchable driver's cab, running gear and firebox lighting. The sound decoder provides realistic steam locomotive sounds. Further highlights are the raised coal box, fine die-cast zinc wheels, free-standing cables, true-to-original lamps and a fully detailed interior. A filigree brake linkage and high-quality printing round off the authentic appearance.
The class 91.3 tank locomotives remained in service with the DR until 1971, primarily on rural branch lines. They ran passenger and freight trains, served industrial operations and were a familiar sight in the early GDR - a true classic, now perfectly realized in the model.
Thanks to the NEM 658 PluX16 interface and the factory-installed PluX16 sound decoder, the locomotive can be controlled completely digitally. The combination of the finest appearance, excellent technology and nostalgic prototype makes it a highlight of every DR layout of the 50s and 60s.
For model railroaders with a focus on the German Reichsbahn of the post-war era, for Era III collectors and digital railroaders who are looking for authentic steam operation with an excellent sound experience.
Get the Piko 50735 H0 sound steam locomotive BR 91.3 DR - a technical and visual highlight for your model railroad scenery!
