The Piko H0 sound steam locomotive Rh 691 of the ÖBB is a real collector's model for friends of Austrian railroad history. Only two examples of the former Prussian T 9.3 were transferred to the ÖBB fleet after the Second World War. The locomotives ran in the St. Pölten area with modified technology and a disk leading wheel set - now available as a new 2025 model in H0 scale with a factory-integrated sound decoder and steam generator.

Full digital equipment and high level of detail

The locomotive has digitally switchable cab, running gear and firebox lighting. The PIKO TrainSound® sound decoder provides realistic steam locomotive sounds, while the factory-installed steam generator ensures visible steam output. A typical ÖBB driver's cab, coal box attachment, free-standing lines and true-to-original lamps round off the image of this extraordinary locomotive.

Rh 691 - a steam locomotive rarity from Austria

Only two locomotives officially entered the ÖBB fleet. Technically adapted and equipped with a disk leading wheel set, they were nevertheless unmistakably former T 9.3. Their service ended as early as 1957 - all the more exciting that PIKO is bringing this model to the layout in an exclusive version.
