The Tr12 was one of the most successful freight steam locomotives in Poland. Of originally over 830 locomotives, 39 returned to PKP service after the Second World War. Thanks to large superheaters, extended chimneys and Westinghouse brakes, the locomotives offered excellent performance with high economy. PIKO has perfectly captured the characteristic shape of the PKP version - including a modified driver's cab and typical Polish equipment.
