Novelty 2023: This DB AG jack-of-all-trades is now also available as a PIKO Expert model. The modern design of the locomotive has been modeled exactly. The locomotive is prototypically painted in traffic red, including the "DB cookie". The single-arm pantographs have been reproduced in extremely delicate detail. Sharply engraved bogies round off the visual appearance. Brake hoses and sun visors that can be retrofitted are included to complete the model. A powerful, 5-pole motor ensures a smooth ride. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 is extremely smooth-running. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving forward. Technical highlights are the built-in cab and cab lighting. The light changes depending on the direction of travel in red/white, of course using the latest LED technology. These functions can be switched separately in digital operation. This is controlled by a PluX 22 decoder. Simple digitization is already prepared by means of a plug-in interface.
