The EuroSprinter class 152 - from prototype to private railroad

Originally designed for Deutsche Bahn, the class 152 was developed as the second series of the EuroSprinter family from 1995. Two ES64F locomotives were built for Dispolok, later sold to ITL and are now in service with Captrain. The model shows these vehicles in their current, eye-catching livery - typical of modern private railway traffic.

This AC version continues the proven features of the PIKO Expert line: a powerful central motor with two flywheel masses ensures cultivated driving characteristics, while diagonally arranged traction tires on the inner axles ensure optimum traction. The locomotive is ideally prepared for use on Märklin layouts.

The factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder (PIKO SmartDecoder XP 5.1) offers realistic vehicle sounds thanks to PIKO TrainSound®. Driver's cab and driver's desk lighting as well as high beams can be switched separately in digital operation.
