The Piko H0 AC sound electric locomotive Rh 1018 of the ÖBB is a true icon of Austrian express train traffic - now as a true-to-shape AC version with factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder, steam generator and mfx® compatibility. Originally built in 1937 for the Westbahn, the locomotives were extensively modernized by ÖBB and remained in service until the 1990s.
Equipped with digitally switchable cab and engine room lighting, two filigree metal scissor pantographs and numerous etched parts, the locomotive is also visually impressive across the board. The new ÖBB design on the front is reproduced in great detail. The PIKO TrainSound® sound decoder provides realistic sound and the mfx®-compatible decoder guarantees simple operation on Märklin systems.
Based on the German E 18, these locomotives were used by ÖBB until the early 1990s. The 1018.05 was even active in nostalgic service until 2001 - a worthy prototype for an H0 model with a high recognition value.
Thanks to the PluX22 interface and factory-integrated sound decoder, the locomotive can be controlled completely digitally. The factory-supplied mfx® support enables simple integration into the AC system. The white/redlight change depending on the direction of travel and the driver's cab lighting provide an atmospheric overall picture.
For Märklin/AC drivers with a focus on Austrian traction, for Era V layouts, nostalgia applications or modern museum trains. Also perfect for high-quality collections and realistic express trains with ÖBB flair.
Experience the Piko 51151 H0 AC sound electric locomotive Rh 1018 ÖBB - with attention to detail, digital comfort and genuine prototype character.
