Description

To protect personnel in the event of accidents, the 1100 series locomotives were retrofitted with front ends similar to those of the 1700 series. The PIKO model has sharply engraved bogie ends with realistic spring assembly reproductions and faithful reproductions of the buffer beams. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab and engine room lighting as well as the front and rear lights that work depending on the direction of travel can be controlled digitally with a PluX22 decoder. The heavy die-cast zinc frame and the motor with two large, precisely balanced flywheels ensure excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with mfx capability is installed ex works, and the locomotive is also prepared for simple retrofitting with sound and the largest possible loudspeaker.
