The electric locomotive V 43.3 MAV V is one of the most exciting new products of the 2025 model railroad year from PIKO. This model represents the modernized version of the Hungarian V43, known as V43.3, and belongs to era V. The class V43, also known as "Szili", is one of the best-known electric locomotives of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV). In the 2000s, numerous locomotives were modernized and reclassified as the V43.3 series. This modernization included improvements to the electronics and adaptations to the increasing demands of passenger and freight transport. With its colorful paintwork and striking design features, the V43.3 represents a new era of MÁV.
PIKO has once again outdone itself with this model. The V 43.3 MAV V impresses with its excellent workmanship, prototypical engravings and robust technology. The high-quality drive technology ensures reliable operation, while the modern PluX22 interface and the generous space on the circuit board make it possible to retrofit a decoder with a large loudspeaker. The digitally switchable driver's cab lighting and the light change depending on the direction of travel in LED technology provide a realistic driving experience. Thanks to the minimum radius of only 358 mm, the locomotive is also suitable for compact track layouts.
