The Piko 51475 E 94 electric locomotive from the Deutsche Reichsbahn is a detailed model that impresses with its high-quality workmanship and technical features. The locomotive is based on the prototype of Era III and impresses with numerous filigree details, such as the realistically reproduced dovetail guides between the motor stems and bridge frame. These not only ensure stability, but also a high degree of maneuverability on the tracks. The powerful central motor with two flywheel masses ensures smooth and reliable operation, while diagonally arranged traction tires further increase the tractive power.

Digital control and sound functions

Thanks to the integrated PluX22 sound decoder, a large number of functions can be controlled digitally, including the switchable driver's cab lighting and the headlights in white/red depending on the direction of travel. A special highlight of the Piko E 94 are the starting lights, which are mounted below the cab windows and create a realistic lighting situation during operation. The locomotive is equipped with PIKO TrainSound®, which provides an authentic sound. The numerous sound functions, such as engine noise, signal horn and brake squeal, bring additional realism to the model railway layout.

High-quality construction and driving characteristics

The Piko E 94 is not only a visual highlight, but also impresses with its excellent driving characteristics. The central motor in combination with the flywheel masses ensures smooth and even running, while the traction tires ensure optimum traction. The locomotive is equipped with a NEM 658 PluX22 digital interface so that it can be easily integrated into any digital model railroad layout. The model has an NEM shaft with close coupler link and can therefore be easily connected to other wagons and locomotives.
