The Piko H0 sound electric locomotive 3E/1 from PMP-PW brings a true powerhouse of Polish railroad operation to your model railroad. The locomotives built between 1958 and 1971 in Wroclaw (Pafawag) were the first series-produced electric freight locomotives in the country. With an output for 2400-ton trains and a maximum permissible speed of 100 km/h, the 3E/1 - also known as the ET21 - dominated freight traffic on electrified lines in Poland.
This 2025 design version is equipped with a factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder and offers digitally switchable cab, engine room and running gear lighting. The cab lighting provides a realistic operating image, supported by finely engraved fan grilles and openwork bogie covers. The two metal scissor pantographs and the light change depending on the direction of travel round off the functional equipment.
The 3E/1 was the backbone of the PKP's electric freight service in the second half of the 20th century. It was characterized by robust technology and powerful train performance - today its legacy lives on on model railroads with an Eastern European theme.
The locomotive is fully digitally controllable, can be easily integrated into existing digital systems and offers an acoustically impressive driving experience thanks to PIKO TrainSound®.
For model railroaders with a focus on Eastern Europe, collectors of classic electric locomotives and digital railroaders who also want to get their money's worth acoustically. Ideal for Era IV freight train scenarios.
Experience the Piko 51617 H0 sound electric locomotive 3E/1 PMP-PW - impressive in performance, appearance and sound!
