The class 103 was the figurehead of German high-speed traffic for decades and remains an icon of railroad history to this day - here in a contemporary version for direct current systems.

The long frame version represents the later series version of the BR 103. The model impresses with its finely detailed body, precise engravings, high-quality paintwork in the oriental red DB AG design and neatly applied printing. The filigree metal pantographs, which give the model additional elegance, are particularly noteworthy.

A powerful five-pole motor with ball bearings and two flywheels ensures excellent running characteristics. The heavy die-cast metal frame gives the model high stability and traction. Two traction tires support traction - ideal for use in front of heavy express trains of the 1990s.
