With the Piko 51696 BR 103 electric locomotive in the long version and orient red livery of DB AG, PIKO brings a legend of German railroad history to your H0 DC layout. A five-pole, ball-bearing motor with two flywheel masses ensures smooth running and precise driving characteristics. In addition, the cab lighting can be controlled digitally, as can the direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red (LED).

The long version of the BR 103 was the backbone of the intercity network and represents the high phase of high-quality long-distance transportation. In the oriental red Era V version, it fits perfectly with DB AG IC coaches or modern museum trains. With a clearance of 232 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the model is ideal for realistic main line applications.
