Description

The modern class 101 in the design of the Train Charter Services company. The single-arm pantographs have been reproduced in extremely delicate detail and sharply engraved bogies round off the visual appearance. Retrofittable brake hoses are included to complete the model. A powerful, 5-pole motor ensures a smooth ride. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 is extremely smooth-running. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving forward. Technical highlights are the built-in cab and cab lighting. The light changes depending on the direction of travel in red/white, of course using the latest LED technology. These functions can be switched separately in digital operation. This is controlled by a PSD XP sound decoder installed ex works.

The model bears the "fits mfx®" quality mark. In order to make digital decoders reliably usable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations, a new "fits mfx®" quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the "fits mfx®" quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
