Form variant of the Austrian Rh 1010 of the ÖBB in Era III.

The technically sophisticated and contemporary PIKO Expert model is characterized by a faithful reproduction of its prototype locomotive with the finest paintwork and printing. Equipped with a powerful five-pole motor combined with two precisely balanced flywheels, the PIKO model impresses with its high tractive power, excellent running characteristics and prototypical maximum speed. The model is equipped ex works with a PSD XP sound decoder including the largest possible loudspeaker and has digitally switchable lighting in the driver's cabs.

The model bears the "fits mfx®" quality mark. A new "fits mfx®" quality mark was introduced together with Märklin and other manufacturers to make digital decoders reliable for all users of the current Märklin digital command stations. This can only be used by digital decoders that have undergone and fully passed a special mfx® test. These decoders and also the locomotives in which they are installed bear the "fits mfx®" quality mark, which certifies unrestricted mfx® functionality. This means that PIKO products with the "fits mfx®" logo now also fully support the diverse functions of mfx®.
