With the Piko H0 diesel locomotive Rh 720 of the ČSD (former series T 435.0) you get a model that not only stands for the Czechoslovakian railroad operation of Era IV, but also tells an interesting story in the service of the German Reichsbahn. In the 1950s, the Czechoslovakian manufacturer delivered 20 locomotives to the DR, where they were designated V 75 - a pragmatic replacement for ageing steam locomotive series. Today, PIKO brings this striking shunting locomotive to the layout as an attractive model.
The model impresses with finely engraved body elements, free-standing railings and a view into the driver's cab. The digitally switchable driver's cab and license plate lighting can be activated with a PluX22 decoder. The model is completely prepared for digital operation, with light changes depending on the direction of travel (white/red).
These locomotives were used in many Eastern European countries from the 1950s onwards. At ČSD, they shaped the shunting appearance of numerous stations, as well as light mainline service. In Germany, they ran reliably and robustly until the 1970s.
Equipped with an NEM 658 PluX22 interface, the model can be easily digitized. A PIKO sound decoder (#56583) can be retrofitted, as can all light functions. This makes the locomotive ideal for sound enthusiasts and digital railroaders.
For friends of Eastern European railroads, DR historians and model railroaders with a focus on international vehicle diversity. Ideal for operating dioramas, shunting tasks and branch line atmosphere.
Get the Piko 52103 H0 Rh 720 ČSD diesel locomotive - authentic, versatile and ready for your everyday operations!
