With the Piko H0 D.145 diesel locomotive from FS, you get a striking shunting and freight locomotive from the Italian state railroad in a contemporary look on your layout. The D.145 series, developed from the end of the 1970s, heralded a change in the FS locomotive fleet - both technically and in terms of design. The Era VI version shown here is presented in the eye-catching, modern orange livery that has been used since 1982.

Model with a strong charisma

The model impresses with its free-standing railings, sharply engraved bogie covers and a strong design with authentic coloring. The digitally switchable driver's cab lighting (retrofittable via PluX22 interface) ensures realistic operational representations. The white/red light change depending on the direction of travel is integrated as standard.

D.145 - versatile use on Italy's tracks

With its power and versatility, the D.145 was able to reliably handle both heavy shunting tasks and medium freight trains at speeds of up to 100 km/h. It is still in use in many places today - especially in industrial sidings and on branch lines.

Equipped with an NEM 658 PluX22 digital interface, the locomotive can be easily digitized with a suitable decoder. A sound retrofit is also possible to bring the typical diesel locomotive sound to the layout.
