With the Piko 52131 BR 211 diesel locomotive in the NorthRail livery, PIKO presents the popular Bundesbahn diesel locomotive in a current private railway version for Era VI. This DC model combines proven locomotive technology with modern sound, the finest detailing and digital highlights - ideal for contemporary model railroad scenarios in freight traffic.

Characterful realization of a classic

The V 100, here as the class 211, was a workhorse of the Bundesbahn for decades - today it is still used in a modernized condition in the service of private railroad companies such as NorthRail. The PIKO model accurately reproduces this variant in Era VI: The cooling system with finely etched grille and visible fan wheel stands out as a special detail. Engravings on the front ends and driver's cab as well as filigree bogies with many attached parts round off the realistic appearance.

A factory-fitted PSD XP sound decoder with a large loudspeaker ensures a powerful and authentic sound experience. This is supplemented by digitally switchable driver's cab and instrument lighting as well as a light change in white/red depending on the direction of travel - ideal for realistic operational representations by day and night.

With a clearance of 139 mm, a recommended minimum radius of 358 mm and two traction tires, the locomotive offers excellent running characteristics. Thanks to the NEM shaft with close coupler link, the model can be easily integrated into existing train formations - ideal for shunting services, construction trains or regional freight services on Era VI layouts.
