Novelty 2023: Form follows function - designers and engineers had internalized this principle when the V 100 was created in the late 1950s, but a model implementation makes this premise all the more challenging. The PIKO designers took this hurdle with flying colors and created a fascinating model. A special eye-catcher is the locomotive's cooling system with finely etched grids and the fan wheel visible underneath. The plastic-looking engravings on the front end and driver's cab further structure the functional vehicle body. The overall impression is rounded off by the filigree bogies with numerous attached parts. The digital versions have factory-switchable lighting for the engineer's cab and the instrument panel. Thanks to the PluX22 interface, these functions can also be easily retrofitted to analog models.
