The Piko H0 DB AG class 213 diesel locomotive represents the last phase of the classic V 100 family in active service. The class 213, a more powerful version of the class 211, was optimized for use on main and steep lines. The version shown here in an oriental red livery represents the typical appearance of DB AG in Era V - an eye-catcher on any layout.
The model has free-standing mounted handrails and grab irons, finely etched fan grilles and a cooling system with a rotating fan wheel. The detailed center cab and the digitally switchable cab lighting (can be retrofitted using a PluX22 decoder) ensure a high level of realism. The white/red light change depending on the direction of travel is installed as standard.
The class 213 was used for both passenger and freight services - especially where increased tractive power was required. On branch lines, in regional services or on steep gradients: This locomotive was a flexible all-purpose solution well into Era V.
Thanks to the NEM 658 PluX22 digital interface, the model can be quickly digitized. A PIKO sound decoder (#56624) can be retrofitted as an option to provide the model with authentic sounds.
For friends of the DB AG of the 1990s, branch line enthusiasts and digital railroaders with a soft spot for compact, powerful locomotives. Ideal for shunting yards, branch lines and light trains in local traffic.
Get the Piko 52336 H0 Diesel Locomotive BR 213 DB AG - oriental red, rich in detail and digitally upgradeable for modern layouts.
