With the Piko 52385 diesel locomotive T445.0, PIKO brings a legendary ČSD shunting and mainline locomotive to your H0 layout in a detailed DC version with factory-fitted sound decoder. The robust, functionally constructed locomotive of the B'B' design is a symbol of industrial efficiency and reliability in Era III and was in use on the ČSD state railroad as well as on numerous Czech industrial railroads.

Proven design for versatile use

The T445.0 series (often confused with T455.0) was based on the Hungarian M44 and was adapted for the special requirements of the Czechoslovakian railroad. Its clear design, simple maintenance and good visibility for the shunting personnel made it the ideal machine for everyday shunting and light freight traffic.

Zero-series housing and numerous add-on parts

The locomotive has the characteristic housing of the pilot series and is equipped with many attached details: These include an additional tank, air conditioning, speedometer, horn, round sockets as well as filigree grab rails and steps. Brake hoses and coupling hooks are included for showcase use and complement the high-quality look.

Sound and light - on board as standard

A factory-fitted PSD XP sound decoder provides realistic driving and shunting sounds as well as numerous additional functions. This is supplemented by digitally switchable driver's cab lighting and an illuminated driver's desk. The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red provides additional operational realism on the model railroad.

Technical equipment for reliable operation

The locomotive measures 130 mm over buffers, is suitable for radii from 358 mm and is equipped with two traction tires for safe traction. Thanks to the NEM shaft coupling with close coupler link, the T445.0 can be easily integrated into existing train formations - especially for industrial, shunting or local freight trains of Era III.
