With the Piko 52386 ČSD diesel locomotive T445.0, PIKO brings a powerful and at the same time detailed AC model to the H0 model railway layout. These locomotives were developed from the late 1950s for shunting and light line service and, in their striking B'B' design, characterized the track systems of Czechoslovakia for decades - both on the ČSD state railroad and in numerous industrial companies.

The T445.0 series is characterized by its simple, maintenance-friendly design and high reliability. Its compact shape, combined with good visibility from the driver's cab, made it the preferred choice for daily shunting service. PIKO has faithfully transferred these characteristics to the model and presents the version with the characteristic housing of the pilot series.

In love with detail and technically mature

The locomotive is equipped with numerous attached parts such as an extra tank, air conditioning unit, speedometer, horn as well as fine handles and steps. Round sockets as well as enclosed brake hoses and coupling hooks allow additional configuration - both for operation and display case presentation.

Equipped with authentic sound and light ex works

The factory-fitted PSD XP sound decoder provides a realistic locomotive sound with many additional functions. This is supplemented by an illuminated driver's desk and digitally switchable driver's cab lighting (when using a PluX22 decoder). The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red brings additional authenticity to the layout.

Optimized for reliable operation on AC layouts

The locomotive has a length over buffers of 130 mm, two traction tires for safe traction and runs from a radius of 358 mm. The NEM shaft coupling with close coupler link allows easy integration into freight or shunting trains - ideal for varied operation on your H0 layout.
