Piko 52501 H0-diesel locomotive NOHAB, My, DSB, Ep.III Product Details

Description

About the original: NOHAB is a European license version of the American standard locomotives of the F series from EMD. The designation was created by the licensee Nydqvist och Holm AB (NOHAB). The locomotives operated in a large number of European countries, including Belgium, Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Spain and Luxembourg. The locomotive's appearance is characterized above all by its round nose ("bulldog nose") at the top of the locomotive with narrow windows sloping downwards at the sides. The locomotives were used by various state railroads, but over time they also passed into the ownership of various private companies.

About the model: As Piko already has experience in building models of the NOHAB, the reproduction of the characteristic shape is excellent. A red paint scheme in the design of the Danish State Railroad DSB, from Era III and a large number of delicate and very precisely reproduced details complete the great look. The model is driven by a powerful motor with 2 flywheel masses and a Plux22 interface. The result is a visually and technically very convincing model.
