The Piko 52585 diesel locomotive V200 1001 in the unique design "Messe Leipzig" is a real highlight for all fans of the railroad history of the GDR. This special design of the V 180 series was presented in 1965 as a technical prototype with new materials and a futuristic design. The DC model from PIKO faithfully reproduces this important one-off in H0 scale - including factory-integrated sound.

A technical experiment with a signal effect

The V200 1001 was manufactured with fiberglass-reinforced polyester components and had a glare-free front with strikingly inclined front windows. The aim was not only to test new materials, but also to develop a modern appearance for future generations of locomotives. PIKO has reproduced this extraordinary locomotive with great attention to detail - including the "Messe Leipzig" lettering.

Factory-equipped with sound and light functions

The model has a factory-fitted PluX22 sound decoder (PSD XP) with authentic sound and numerous digital functions. The locomotive is also equipped with digitally switchable cab lighting and a light change (white/red) depending on the direction of travel - ideal for realistic operation on the DC system.

Technically sound and ready for operation

With a length over buffers of 224 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the locomotive is fully compatible with all standard H0 track systems. Two traction tires provide impressive traction, while the NEM coupler pocket with close coupler link ensures a reliable connection with other vehicles.
